Hello and welcome to Transcendent : Design, a blog for discussing the theory and practice of landscape architecture and how ecologically enlightened design/planning can promote a sustainable future. In addition to providing space for discussion, this page will link to useful resources for landscape architects or anyone else interested in environmental issues, art/deisgn, and community building.
Transcendent : Design will also serve as my online portfolio, with different blog posts presenting an individual project with accompanying images. Please feel free to offer comments or critiques on anything presented. I welcome the suggestions.
Currently I am a landscape architecture master’s student at the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and the Environment. This three-year accredited landscape architecture program specializes in environmental design, with particular attention given to landscape ecology, ecosystem restoration, green infrastructure development, and community responsive design.
Below is a clip of three images from the concept designs from the synergy park project.
